Album: Androo ‎– Naya

Switzerland’s Androo teams up with Music From Memory’s sublabel Second Circle label for his debut EP Naya. Having spent his youth around the sound system scene in Geneva, Androo began dabbling with 80-90’s infused digital dub. It’s a rare original release for the Amsterdam label, that sees the young producer expanding on his love for dub with Balearic, jazz, new wave, and house all gently colliding. Startlingly diverse and very refreshing, as Naya moves from the tropical boogie of 2000 & Universe to the percussive grooves and dubwise bass of On Time (Long Mix) and an excursion into the sounds of proto house blended with skanking vibrations on London dub (Version). With this first EP release on Second Circle, Androo’s music reveals a desire to avoid categorisation whilst displaying a clear love for percussive rhythms and emotive melodies. Listen up!

Naya is out now via Second Circle  – buy from Bandcamp.
