Feelgood Experiment – Maya

Feelgood Experiment

It’s safe to say that UK jazz is in a good place at the moment. With top-notch releases dropping at a rate of knots it’s a great time for lovers of the genre.

Bristol newcomers Feelgood Experiment are yet another name worth noting when it comes to fresh, innovative jazz music.

The talented six-piece won last years Love Supreme Discovery Competition, and have already shared stages with site favourites Ezra Collective, Oscar Jerome and Binker and Moses, now they are set to break out on their own with their forthcoming eponymous debut EP.

Their new single called “Maya” is an ode to poet and activist Maya Angelou, conveying an admiration for those people who show great strength in the face of oppression.

Stream the track below and look out for the EP that’s on the way.
