Hear a track from Jitwam’s debut album

Brooklyn based artist Jitwam

After releasing music for nearly 5 years on noted labels such as Leaving Records, Cosmic Compositions, and The Jazz Diaries, Brooklyn-based artist Jitwam will drop his self-titled debut album on Cosmic Compositions and hhv Records this November 3rd.

Taking inspiration from artists like Moondog, The Velvet Underground, Yayoi Kusama, Jay Electronica, Jay Dilla, Moodymann, and Madlib his debut LP represents a time of transition and remembrance, while still fulfilling the core qualities he looks for in a song. In his words, “Music is a refuge. A shelter from the storm. A place you can go to close your eyes.”

Before it drops next month, take a listen to the record’s opening track “thelove”. Tune in below.
