Blackbush Orchestra shares Famiglia 12″

Blackbush Orchestra

Kicking off the day with the second release from new London label Beauty And The Beat.

After the success of BATB 001 (selling out in 3 weeks), the label teams up with Atemi Blackbush aka Blackbush Orchestra for his first ever released material.

We start with “My People,” an ode to friendship, that finds the producer blending West African spoken words with gentle flute notes and warm keys.

Track two titled “Bamba Ditounalene” is a spiritual afro trance piece, that interprets a traditional West African chant, recounting the origins of Mami Wata (Mother Water)’s power.

On the flip side, Kay Suzuki skilfully transforms “Sorted les Filles” into a lush, cosmic, psychedelic jam.

Speaking about his first release, Atemi explains “at the heart of this project is to let the music come alive and evolve out of the meeting of musicians with different styles and backgrounds.”

Give the Famigila EP a spin below.
