Peckham-based producers FYI Chris are back with a new 12”, titled “Spirit Animal,” which marks the second release on Rye Wax’s West Friends imprint.

The record features three percussive, tribal house jams that is very much in keeping with the imprint’s desire to “fill your bags with the strangest pingers”.

Kicking off with the tropical dub disco of opening cut “Captain’s Patilla, then moving to the Francis Bebey sampling, tribal rhythms of “Dance Bebey”. The EP closes with the off kilter, late-night vibes of “Silk”.

This record once again finds the duo in fine form and is arguably their best work to date.
