Brazilian duo Selvagem and Optimo Music kick off their new label called Selva Discos with a reissue of Maria Rita’s sought after LP Brasileira.

The album has been on top of collectors’ and music lovers’ wishlist for the past couple of years, since “Cântico Brasileiro No 3 (Kamaiurá)” broke out and cast a spell worldwide – from Japan to Brazil, from Norway to South Africa, everybody was flabbergasted after they first heard the song.

With original copies fetching +£300 on Discogs Selva Discos reissue is great news for those of us without deep pockets.

Recorded in 1988 its oddball brilliance can now be enjoyed by all. From the folksy Portuguese vocals combined with panpipes melodies and proto-tribal techno it’s a wonderful musical sounds.
