Glenn Astro is a young producer who we’ve been checking out for a while now. The Berlin-based artist specialise in creating music drawn from hip hop, jazz, soul and broken beat. After releases on labels like Ninja Tune, Odd Socks, Tartelet Records, WotNot Music, as well as tracks for his own Money $ex Records, Astro drops a mini-LP with Ajnascent.The main focus for the six-track project was spontaneity and improvisation. The record called Even is described by Astro and Ajnascent as a “multi-layered cake,” over six tracks the pair mix up a delicious cocktail of essential innovative music, exploring accidental jams and tape machine workouts. You can stream the new EP via the Bandcamp embed below.
