Hear a track from The Kondi Band’s forthcoming album

The Kondi Band

Afro-electronic project The Kondi Band are set to release their first full-length. The collaboration between Sierra Leonean kondi (thumb piano) player Sorie Kondi and US producer / DJ Chief Boima has shared details of their upcoming 12-track album which features nine original compostions and three remixes from LV and Chief Boima. Speaking about his bandmate and the forthcoming album Boima explained: “Sorie Kondi is a blind musician with a will to thrive like no person I have met before . This album forges a direct link between techno born in the black cities of the American Mid-West, where I grew up, and roots African music.”  The album titled “Salone” is scheduled for June 2nd release, with the lead track “Titi Dem Too Service” streamable in full below.

Salone is out June 2nd via Strut  – pre-order from Bandcamp.
