Manchester-based label Gondwana Records has announced the signing of bassist, composer and producer Phil France. A key collaborator alongside Jason Swinscoe in The Cinematic Orchestra, France was responsible for some of the heaviest basslines, chord progressions and string arrangements on albums Every Day, Man With a Movie Camera, Ma Fleur and The Crimson Wing soundtrack. Along with the announcement the label has also re-released his instant classic 2013 debut solo album The Swimmer. Stream the title track below.
