Solstice – Ultimate Big Cheese

The six members that make up Solstice have for some time been quietly bubbling away as part of the thriving East London jazz scene. The collective consist of Brigite Beraha (vocals), Tori Freestone (saxophone/flute), John Turville (piano), Jez Franks (guitar), Dave Mannington (bass) and George Hart (drums). Coming together and united by a shared passion for music and food to write and eat collectively. The band draw on influences from Brazil, New York, and France such as Hermeto Pascoal, Edward Simon and Pierre de Bethmann while retaining a uniquely British identity. Their culinary and musical explorations have resulted in the forthcoming release of their debut album “Alimentation”. Tuck into the first excerpt titled “Ultimate Big Cheese” below. Liking this a lot right now.

Alimentation – is out December 9th via Two Rivers Records (buy)
