Dennis Ayler drops the debut EP on his newly formed label Dennis Ayler Music. After his EP “Put It On” for 22a back in May this new release sees him venturing into more of the same late night downtempo house, ambient jazz and hip hop vibes. It’s a record with plenty energy and good flavours. It’s hard to pick a standout on this EP when you’ve got gems like “No Comment,” “Birdss,” and “Power Moves,” but the closing track “Friday Night” with its Herbie-esque space-funk feeling is a cut above. A very accomplished slice of soulful and forward-thinking music from Ayler.
