The Leftovers

Tuck into our tasty Leftovers

Things are moving super fast! A little too fast! We can’t keep up with all the good stuff that drops every day on the interwebs. While we try to post every new track, album, mixtape, video, and MP3 download that we love on the site, it’s impossible to post everything, which means some quality newness gets missed. So, we serve up The Leftovers.

Watch Open Mike Eagle’s Radar Award-winning video for “Celebrity Reduction Prayer” directed by Ryan Calavano.

Watch the latest live clip in the series from Jordan Rakei has performing tracks from his debut album Cloak. The live performances were shot at I’klɛktɪk Art Lab and directed by Tom Ewbank.

South London artist Tom Misch has shared the visual for recent single Crazy Dream the collaborative track featuring Loyle Carner, taken from his “Reverie” EP.

FACT met up with New York City-based cellist Julia Kent at this year’s Mutek Montreal, and spoke about her breathtaking live performance. She describes the cello as her voice – her way of expressing herself – and explains how her process uses Ableton Live but never loses the human element. Watch above.

Another little gem from FACT magazine. A classic mix by experimental producer Holly Herndon dug from their deep archives. Apparently, Herndon doesn’t do a lot of mixes, and this 2013 mix may well be her one and only on the interweb!
