Yosi Horikawa & Daisuke Tanabe – Song for Rémy

Yosi Horikawa & Daisuke Tanabe - Song for Rémy

Recorded in the summer of 2015 during the Worldwide Festival in Sète, this is the first result of our annual Japan Day* initiative.

Created by Yosi Horikawa and Daisuke Tanabe from recordings made during the week of the festival, Song for Rémy is dedicated to Rémy Kolpa Kopoul, who aside from being a great friend to the festival, was also a huge inspiration to the musical community throughout French-speaking countries and beyond.

His passion and love of sharing exotic sounds and ideas will be missed forever…

I’m sure he would have loved and played this collage of sound taken from his favourite seaside retreat as much as I do!
