You’ve already heard us gushing over ‘Indefinate Leave To Remain’ the first track taken off the upcoming album “Day To Day” by Sarathy Korwar. The second taste from the album once again wonderfully weaves traditional folk music of the Sidi community in India (combining East African, Sufi and Indian influences) with jazz and electronics. Taking things up a notch, ‘Mawra (Transcendence)’ channels more of a Comet Is Coming-esque slant, with loud percussion and some seriously frenetic horns practically bursting out all over the track.
