Robert Glasper, who recently co-produced the soundtrack for the Don Cheadle’s, Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, is releasing an album on May 27th that combines original Miles Davis recordings with additional arrangements from Glasper. Everything’s Beautiful features guest appearances from Stevie Wonder, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Erykah Badu, who’s vocals are heard on “Maiysha (So Lost)” which is streaming above. According to Glasper, Badu wrote the original lyrics and sang her part, and the entire song was written and recorded within two days. It’s a wonderful bossa nova reimagining of Davis’ 1974 track from Get Up With It.
