Another killer double A-side from Mr Bongo’s Brazil 45’s series. On one side is “Jesus Cristo” is the title track from Cladia’s 1971 LP. Brazilian Gospel-funk-soul at it’s finest; uplifting piano, organ, bass, drums and claps, with Claudia’s lead vocal and backing harmonies from a full choir. Also originally released on an Odeon 7” in 1970, backed with one of our favourite Brazilian tracks “Com Mais De 30”. On the flip side “Ossain” is a beautifully unique MPB/samba-rock work out, featuring one of the most distinctive vocals hooks in Brazilian music. This is the first time the song has been released on 7”. Simply amazing!
