Hejira keeps hitting the musical sweet spot. Their steady influx of music over the past few years has impressed us no end. Ahead of their appearance at Dummy Presents: TRAUM this Wednesday, the South London trio has shared “Rituals IV”. The enticing new record sees them rework Wyles & Simpson track Prophetise and Prince’s Little Red Corvette. Both reworks are fantastic, but turning Prince’s classic song into a slow-churning, contorted and warped piece of leftfield pop is inspired. A must listen.
