Max Graef & Glenn Astro announce debut album on Ninja Tune

Max Graef and Glenn Astro are gearing up to release their debut album The Yard Work Simulator via Ninja Tune on 27th May.

“We wanted to make a dance record without the obvious components,” explains Max. “It was kind of a concept album where the tracklisting existed before we produced any music. We had a list of directions and sounds for each track name and we worked through track by track. Most of the sounds and instruments are recorded and not sampled. We worked out the harmonies, themes and chord progressions very carefully.”

Check out teaser clips of the album here and stream the lead track “Where The Fuck Are My Hard Boiled Eggs?!” below. The pair will celebrate the album release at Dance Tunnel in London on 19th May and 20th May in Brighton at Patterns (alongside Letherette and Throwing Shade) as part of The Great Escape. The following week sees them back in Berlin for a session atPanorama Bar on 28th May.

From rough and raw to bouncy dancefloor boogie vibes this new one from Graef and Astro is a winner!
