Mocky created quite a stir last summer with his Key Change album. The LA-based artist has long been striking a chord with music fans worldwide, with his distinct jazz and funky grooves. Opening the vaults, Mocky delivers the third installment of his “Moxtape” series. Featuring contributions from Jamie Lidell, Mr. Oizo, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and perfectly capturing the communal spirit and eclectic energy of his monthly “Mocky and friends“ jam sessions on the rooftop of the Ace Hotel where artists as diverse as Kelela, Feist or Lianne La Havas have surprised audiences with improvised performances with Mocky’s band and where “the only plan is not to have a plan”, as Mocky puts it. Take a listen to “Keep Feelin’ This” featuring his friend Jamie Lidell on vocals, which brings back memories of their classic work together on Lidell’s “Multiply”. The Moxtape Vol.III is out on April 22nd.
