Stream Al Dobson Jr’s new track, ‘Xingu’

Al Dobson Jr- Rye Lane Volume II & III

As we mentioned last week, Al Dobson Jr is returning to Rhythm Section International with his debut full-length LP. Spread over 28 tracks and clocking in at just under one hour, this body of work provides a glimpse into the mind of one of the UK’s most talented, enigmatic producers.  We’ve already featured the Dilla-esque lead cut “Live At Makeover” and today, Dobson has unveiled another jam from the record, the scintillating funky “Xingu”. Witness the excellent Brazilian/Hip-Hop hybrid of “Xingu” (indigenous peoples of Brazil), as he enlists a warm layer of percussion besides soulful keys and wandering bass.

Al Dobson Jr will be releasing his debut full-length album, Rye Lane Volume I & II, on the 18th March, so if you find that you like his sound below, be sure to grab the album when it drops. If you wish to hear snippets of the full album, head on over to Sounds Of The Universe to do so.
