Born out of a series of improvisational sessions with friend and collaborator Jon-Kyle Mohr, Brian Allen Simon aka Anenon’s new album titled “Petrol” is an album about Los Angeles, but not the Los Angeles we know. According to the press release, “It’s a Los Angeles built as much upon the frenzied kinetic energy of its freeways as its moments of thoughtful, early morning solitude.” His amalgamation of styles across jazz, classical, ambient and, electronica is so wonderfully crafted and full of emotion that it leaves you breathless.
