The Bad Places collective return with two new tracks

Bristol-based collective Bad Places are back with brand new music. Two new tracks to be precise, both, continue to showcase the collective’s impressive musical talents. Out of the two, it’s “The Smoker” which stands out: it’s nothing like their previous effort “Confessions” that we featured last year.

Instead of going for a lush beat producer Alex Lyons gets murky and strips things down a bit, with a sombre backdrop allowing Nomad’s rhymes and Anna Stellardi’s vocals to shine. The track is from their upcoming “Found Tapes” mixtape.

The second song titled “Stateside” features rappers Truth And SamRi and Lyons serves up a sample-heavy, grimy production that acts as the perfect soundscape for the two emcees to lay down their feisty verses. Watch the video for “The Smoker” up top and stream “Stateside” below.

Get to know the Bad Places collective and enjoy two tracks that are as fresh as anything you’ll have heard this year.
