Get to know, White Bully, a band conceived in Russia but who come to us via Dj Die’s Bristol-based label Gutterfunk. The four-piece consisting of Lena Kaufman, Bluuge, Calpol Kid and Andy Spaceland describe their sound as ‘hip-hop hypnosis spliced between moments of clarity, dark hope and leftover magic’. The group create a concoction of rumbling vibrations, rugged guitar work in-between a hip-hop beat whilst filling in with some cut up samples and Kaufman’s soulful, haunting vocals.
