New Sounds: Mikael Seifu – How To Save A Life (Vector of Eternity)

Mikael Seifu

Except for The Voices of East Harlem’s classic album “Right On Be Free” which I listened to earlier today this new track by Mikael Seifu is the best thing I’ve heard all day. The Ethiopian producer is preparing to release a new five-track EP “Zelalem” on RVNG Intl and this track titled How To Save A Life (Vector of Eternity) is the first sample. As well as the new EP Seifu has put together a fifty-minute mix of “native Ethiopian and African folk music” that provides “context around the sounds that influenced “Zelalem,” which will be available on a limited edition cassette tape. Essential!
