Brownswood Recordings are gearing up for the latest chapter in the long-standing relationship between Gilles Peterson and the music of Cuba. The new project sees him explore the roots of rumba through a project comprising three parts: a feature-length documentary, a collection of remixes and a free sample pack.
The album is set to drop on March 11th and the second taste from the album comes in the shape of Motor City Drum Ensemble‘s four-to-the-floor, hypnotic slow burning track titled The Rumba Experimental.

The release features other remixes from Tenderlonious, Al Dobson Jr, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Mo Kolours, Pépé Braddock, débruit and more.
Gilles Peterson’s new project, Havana Club Rumba Sessions, drops on Friday, March 11th, on Brownswood Recordings.
