New Sounds: Kazumi Kaneda – Sardis

Kazumi Kaneda - Sardis

Kazumi Kaneda is a Tokyo (Shibuya), Japan-based multi-instrumentalist/pianist/producer. Born in November of 1976, the producer was greatly inspired by Jazz pianists like Bill Evans. Around 1992 to 1996, he was heavily into the works of prominent producers like Q-Tip, Buckwild and J Dilla who had driven his interest in Jazz influenced Hip Hop music. His extensive experience in music found him learning how to utilize different analogue equipment (Technic Turntables and synthesizers), combining them with modern DAW’s such as Logic Pro and Pro Tools. With the rise of artists like Robert Glasper and José James crossing sonic boundaries and drawing youthful audiences to Jazz, a creative lane has been opened for Kazumi to express his passion within the art form. Listen to “Sardis” and hear his creativity shine through on this exceptional track.
