Seattle MC Porter Ray is streaming his new album titled “Nightfall,” the 6-track self-release is streaming free via Bandcamp. The project was recorded during sessions for his upcoming debut LP on Sub Pop Records. Much like his previous work stylish soul samples and laid-back jazzy vibes are the order of the day as Ray articulates his thoughts on the death of his father and younger brother, being a father and life in Seattle’s Central District. “Nightfall” showcases his intricate rhymes and flawless delivery over the course of the six tracks, featuring production from Kmtk, Spence Mo, Dez Anthony, and AyoB. You can listen to some of my personal highlights below. If you like what you hear check out the entire EP on his Bandcamp page here and download it, naming your price.
