We’ve been listening to this album for a few weeks and thought it was about time we spread the word. In the winter of 2006 in West Philadelphia, producer Adam Jeez and lyricist Yikes The Zero decided to work on a few collaborations that would lead to a 2-year expedition into experimental wordplay and abstract production. The journey accumulated over 30 songs spanning several genres from around the world. This collection of unreleased conceptual songs was hand-picked, remastered and seasoned to form the album “The Some Of Us”. As we delve into the 12-track album, so far our current favourites are “Ghost Smoke”, “Whaiuwa”,”Daddy O”, “Ekko Bounce” and “Doozy”. Jeez and Zero skills as producer and lyricist respectively are exceptional and you’ll hear it throughout the album. Don’t hesitate to give it a listen as “The Some Of Us” is nothing short of Hip Hop excellence.
