
As an old school hip hop head, I’m always searching for a new artist who brings those illustrious days back while adding a modern twist. One artist who has caught my ear recently is upcoming New York femcee and activist Maassai who we featured back in July . The little-known artist may only have 486 followers on SoundCloud (at the time of writing), but with a play count just over 26k she’s making a ripple on the underground scene. With a knack for storytelling and a raw, in-your-face attitude her small but impressive catalogue simply must be heard.
