Hejira first caught our attention with their double A-sided single Echoes/Dancing Around Control. It didn’t take long before we got hooked on the London-based band’s soulful, boundary-pushing sound. The slow-burning track mixes the elegant tones of Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne with live instrumentation plus electronics that give the track an otherworldly yet emotional and natural feel.
