I first stumbled upon the inspiring sounds of Houston, TX musician Philippe Edison a few weeks ago when I was searching around for new stuff and decided to go hunting for more of this talented artist work. As I backtracked through some of his earlier work, I saw that I’ve been seriously missing out. One part Hip Hop, one part electronic and one part Jazz, Edison’s music is a refreshingly original breath of fresh air. Listen to his latest track entitled ” The Solar Groove Connection” and when your done go check out a slew of other tracks over at his BandCamp, including a wonderful tribute to Bill Evans. He’s definitely one to watch.
