Odd Future’s R&B/soul experts The Internet are gearing up for the release of their new album ‘Ego Death’ (out June 30th, pre-order here). “Special Affair” is the first glimpse, the Odd Future affiliates get sexy and sultry, lead singer Syd the Kyd distinctive voice works a funky beat and dirty bassline into something quite memorable.
The album is packed with talented guest spots from the likes of Janelle Monáe, Kaytranada, James Fauntleroy, Vic Mensa, Steve Lacy and Tyler The Creator. The band described this album as:
Being vulnerable and honest. It’s about us growing up as a band and as individuals, and the challenges we’re facing and learning from. It’s about us acknowledging our egos and the egos around us, and using them the best way we know how.
