Sonnymoon is back with their new album entitled “The Courage of Present Times.” The album opens with the mighty “Blue” a track that switches between a gentle flow and an almighty cacophony of sounds. Really nice way to start off this cool, yet unpredictable album. As far as the rest of the album goes there’re many great songs to enjoy if you give it time and don’t mind travelling on Sonnymoon’s weird musical excursions. The overall sound is quite playful though with lots happening to grab your interest. The song structures, beats and vocals are all over the place at times yet the album remains focused and cohesive throughout. A few of my favourite tracks are “Grain Of Friends”, “Pop Music”, “Sex For Clicks”, “Trust Fall” and “The Only Face”. If you love experimental music, then this is one for you.
