Things are moving super fast! A little too fast! We can’t keep up with all the good stuff that drops every day on the interwebs. While we try post every new track, album, mixtape, video, and MP3 download that we love on the site, it’s impossible to post everything, which means some quality newness gets missed. So, we serve up The Leftovers.

Bernard + Edith have announced details of their debut album entitled ‘Jem’ which will be released in May. You can stream a lead track from the album called Tidal Wave below above.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) recently announced that Friday will be the global release day for new music. It will bring all nations in line with Australia and Germany, who currently have Friday as their release day. The move has been bought about as a way to decrease music piracy and stop frustration for music fans who feel annoyed that music is available earlier in other parts of the world.

The global release day will be implemented in summer 2015. Read more about the news over on the IFPI website.

Brand new video from  London songstress Rosie Lowe. “Who’s That Girl” is the first taste from her forthcoming debut LP, set to be released some time this year with Paul Epworth’s Wolf Tone label. Speaking to Dazed who premiered the video. Rosie said:

“Who’s That Girl is about not recognising someone any more. It’s always in the times of struggle – when something bad happens – that the biggest lessons are learnt and you realise who your true friends are. Some people step up and some people step down. This song is about a friend that stepped down when I needed her most.”

Soul music gone minimalist: All the superfluous bits stripped away and the grooves placed front and center. That is Silk Rhodes in a nutshell. Th Baltimore duo return with a new track – “Stuck in my Head” – from a new two-track collection called Heart of Grass.

We share another fantastic video from the Record Sweep series. £100 to spend. Ten minutes to spend it. One wall of vinyl to spend it on. This episode has one of the finest voices in electronic soul music right now: the lovely Fatima of Eglo Records.
