Another Monday, another mix but this one is dedicated to the late J Dilla. James Dewitt Yancey, AKA Jay Dee, AKA J Dilla would have turned 41 last Saturday. He died of lupus on February 10th, 2006, just days after his 32nd birthday. Even in death, his musical gifts live on. So with a belated “happy birthday,” and to honour his passing we’ve put together a little mix from one of the most influential producers of modern hip-hop and soul. Enjoy!
