We Are Shining are gearing up for their debut album, Kara, to be released on October 27th. With six days to go until the LP drops, we can stream Kara in full via The Guardian. The duo of Morgan and Acyde have enlisted several guest singers to assist them, including The Noisette’s Shingai, Eska, Roses Gabor, Andrea Balency and Mallie, who all bring their own unique talents to the duo’s eclectic sound. Make sure to listen to “Road,” “Breaks” and “Thru The Dark” which easily showcase the range of sounds that they capture on the album. Kara definitely isn’t commercial but We Are Shining are establishing their own lane in the musical landscape that is allowing them to introduce a new tone to rock music, one that is all-encompassing. Thanks for picking PRAISE POEMS as Album of the Week! In 1972, when I was 22 years old, I was the guitar player in THE GINGERBREAD EXPRESS based out of Buffalo, New York. I wrote the song MISSED ANOTHER DAY and I’m playing guitar (1967 Gibson 335 through a Fender Twin reverb amp) and shared the lead vocal with Toni Silveri, who also played flute on the song. It’s fascinating that people are picking up on a song from so long ago. Very wonderful.
