Nick Hakim graces us with his new release, Where Will We Go Pt.2. Hakim has been a revelation over the last 9 months or so, having already released the excellent Where Will We Go Pt.1. We’ve already heard the tender cut “I Don’t Know” and the haunting refrain of “Lift Me Up” and the other two cuts are equal in sound and tone. The whole EP has a really relaxed appeal and will certainly fly by if you let it. Which is typified by the third track, “Sleep.”  Hakim’s voice is so rich, elegant and emotive, back only by a slow beat and some soft guitar plucks, this one lovingly drifts along. Overall, the EP is a short journey to a place where we can let go of our everyday troubles.
