Kitty Cash has hooked up with up with SZA for “Moodring” the very first taste off her upcoming Love The Free II mixtape, dropping on July 22nd. The New York native DJ had us in a spin with her debut mixtape, “Love The Free,” and it sounds like she’s about to do it again with the follow up. Have a listen to the mellow track which is produced by SZA’s frequent collaborator Felix Snow, it has that ambient and left-field touch that we’ve come to expect from SZA. “I wrote ‘Moodring’ the night I opened for Coldplay. I hadn’t slept in two and half days due to anxiety,” SZA shares of the Felix Snow-produced cut. “After the show, I drank every bottle of champagne Chris Martin [and] the band gave us that night, with Thundercat and my band. Great fucking time.” Love The Free II features the likes of Yuna, Dev Hynes, Bipolar Sunshine and many more. Always one to have her finger on the pulse, whatever Kitty Cash gets involved in it’s always arouses my curiosity and that’s why she is probably one of the most exciting artists out there right now!
