Introducing new XL Recordings artists, Ibeyi, who are 19-year-old French-Cuban twin sisters Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz, the duo’s name is pronounced ee-bey-ee. The track is produced by XL founder Richard Russell, “Oya” is Ibeyi’s first piece of music since signing to XL Recordings. The song is sparse and otherworldly with Lisa laying down some gorgeous vocals while Naomi taps out a textured drum pattern. It will form part of Ibeyi’s debut AA-sided single “Oya / River” out later in the summer.
