Little Simz will release her debut EP E.D.G.E. tomorrow but she’s got one more little taster before it drops. Take a listen to “Quest Luv,” which features Tilla and it’s another impressive offering. For those who have come to know Little Simz’s for her previous work, the new track is a big departure and very different than you might expect. Gone are the chaotic spitfire raps, although she still delivers her verse with an edge, all about a failed relationship, she seems much more vulnerable. What we get is a somber, toned down piano-driven cut by producer OTG with Tilla giving the song an intimacy and emotion not usually associated with the North London rapper.

“Sometimes, things change for the best, Simz’s explained. “Quest Luv” was the easiest song for me to write on the E.D.G.E EP, because of it’s personal nature which allowed me to delve into a more vulnerable side of myself, drawing out the substance and content.

OTG brought the right vibe, Tilla brought the right emotion to the record, which is why it works so well.”
