“Thirty Eight sounds like Detroit transitioning from Heroin to Crack in the late 70s and early 80s.”
Detroit producer Apollo Brown has just released his newest instrumental soundtrack entitled Thirty Eight. Over the 20 tracks that make up this technicolor journey, Brown delivers a faultless eclectic record that takes in funk, soul, jazz, blues, hip-hop, and everything in between. It’s an impressive return from the producer who’s been busy lending his skills to the likes of Ghostface Killah, O.C, Guilty Simpson, his group Ugly Heroes and many more besides. The sheer depth and diversity Brown brings to the table will leave you totally mesmerised, that’s to say this album is jaw-droppingly good. Listen to the stream or download below.
