Estère, the girl with the MPC she’s calls Lola dropped her debut LP yesterday and it’s available to stream and download via Bandcamp.The album was initially pre-produced, arranged and recorded entirely on her MPC before heading to the Blue Barn Studios in her home town of Wellington to re-record, polish and lay down vocals for the final album mix.The young beatmaker has come a long way since obtaining Lola in 2012 and the album embraces a variety of styles in keeping with Estère’s open mindedness to music. The album also paint’s a picture of the journey her and Lola have been on over the past few years.

“I wanted this album to be a true reflection of my progress as a beat maker and song writer. I wanted it to retain the unpolished sound of those late nights that Lola and I stayed up, bedroom window open, half eaten toast on the desk. That’s why once I was in the studio I didn’t change much of what Lola and I had already written.”
