Audio:Today’s Style

Once again it’s that time of the week, we give those tracks that didn’t make it onto the blog a little bit of love. As usual we mix up the styles, a current fave new artist Julia Losfelt get’s a spin as does Daniel Wilson who we featured yesterday. We give a shout to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood imprint as they prepare to release the fourth “electr*c” compilation. Next up is a new name for us, Slows Down, a project by London musician Alexander Hawthorne which we’ve been playing for the past week. Another band whose sound we love, Yumi Zouma, have covered a song by a band, Air France who are sadly now defunct, gone but not forgotten. The last track is from the newly formed project of Claire Brentnall and Richard Knox ,Shield Patterns make ethereal dark pop with singer Brentnall sounding not unlike Kate Bush and that can only be a good thing in our book.

Enjoy the music.
