The young up an coming Berlin artist,Max Graef is set to release his debut LP in April.Having released his first EP in 2013,Graef is making a name for himself with his eclectic take on house music, blending hip hop and jazz elements into his smoked out sound.Tartelet Records will release Graef’s first full-length,” Rivers Of The Red Planet , which sounds like it “could have been recorded through the smoke at a jazz club, in the booth at a techno club 30 years from now, or inside an MPC stocked with crusty dollar-bin samples,” or so says the press statement. Although the album at times sounds sample heavy,in-fact Graef played a range of instruments throughout. You can stream segments of the album’s 16 tracks over on the Rivers Of The Red Planet website. The video for the first track from the album is the dense hip hop cut entitled “Running” featuring singer Wayne Snow.Take a peek below.
