Ola Szmidt announces EP3, shares new track Rooted

Brand new music from Ola Szmidt.

Alongside the news of her latest EP, Ola Szmidt has shared a new track called ‘Rooted’, listen to it below.

With her distinctive style, Ola aims to differentiate herself from other artists with her instrumental improvisations, live looping techniques, and self-produced electronics.

‘Rooted’ which intertwines her gorgeously delicate voice, with atmospheric flute and intimate electronics, gives the listener a meditative vibe throughout the song. It’s a profoundly immersive song that not only takes you on her musical journey but also takes you deep into her emotions.

The new seven-track collection titled Ep3 is scheduled for release in spring. Speaking over email Szmidt says the EP will include either a cover of Tim Buckley’s ‘Song To The Siren’ or ‘A Blood Of An American’ by Bobby Wright.

It follows on from EP1 AND EP2, which saw support from tastemakers such as Worldwide FM, Gilles Peterson, Lauren Laverne and Jean-Claude Thompson.

For the vinyl addicts, the EP may be issued on limited vinyl edition but only if Szmidt secures support from a suitable record label.
